Self, what just happened?

About this time every year I see my neighbors packing to head back up north for the summer and once the last car carrier is loaded and on the road, I like to ask myself, “Self, what just happened?”  Lely Resort has seen a very active year in real estate, but just how busy was it? Well our inventory started out at 175 properties at the first of the year, and we are down to 129 active listings.  This big dip in inventory was due to 91 home sales closing between January 1 to May 1 with another 69 properties set to close.  This gives a four month total of $32,667,422 in closed sales and another $26,340,105 under contract waiting to close.  This is a 16% increase in closings over the same period as of last year, with a little more activity in multi-family purchases than single family purchases.  For a recap of the closed sales for the first four months of the year at Lely Resort just go to http://www.mylely.com/ClosedSales2013
