Lely Resort Halftime Report
Here is your July update. Resales at Lely Resort are on the rise as we hit the halfway mark for the year. After a disappointing start to the year, sales have picked up just over 18% during the first six months of 2017. Resales as of July 1st set at $72,685,544 with 144 properties sold represent just over 5% increase in the average home sale price. Sales leaders so far this year at the resort: Ole and Greenlinks are the sales volume leaders for condos and Classics and Lakoya had outstanding performance for single family homes. And even with an uptick in sales, we have seen buyers hesitate to pull the trigger, which has led to a 35% increase in days-on-market for the average sale of a home climbing to 133 days before contract. While we still have six months to see how the year shakes out for sales, I would anticipate another 100 home sales based on a five year trend of sales for the second half of the year.
